Shea butter refined

Shea butter (or shea butter) is a vegetable oil extracted from the seeds of the Shea tree.

Composition: the oil contains oleic (40-48%), stearic (40-50%), linoleic (4-8%), palmitic (2-5%) and other acids, vitamins, minerals, phytosterols, etc.

Characteristics: solid, has a pleasant delicate nutty smell. Color can be white or cream. The consistency of shea butter at room temperature is similar to ghee.

Attention! Shea butter is extremely heat sensitive! At high temperature, it instantly crystallizes, goes grains. It is best to gently heat it in a water bath, you can add other oils. If properly stored, it does not deteriorate within 1-2 years.

Properties and application in cosmetics:

The mixture of lipids in shea butter is similar in composition to the secretion of the sebaceous glands, which provides a substitution and softening effect.

    Shea butter has protective, regenerating and softening properties, stimulates collagen synthesis, and is a natural UV filter. It is used as an active ingredient for any type of skin, but especially for sensitive and damaged.

The oil is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin. Its regular use of shea butter improves the complexion, tightens the skin texture, improves tone and elasticity, helps to reduce the depth of wrinkles. Fights peeling, moisturizes, eliminates the effects of burns, reduces scars and scars. Helps with dermatitis, ulcers, eczema and other inflammations. Restores the skin with cracked skin of the hands, feet. It is used in its pure form, as well as in mixtures and creams for cellulite.

Shea butter is used as a decongestant and anti-inflammatory agent for sprains and joint pain, rheumatism.

The oil is used in various types of cosmetic products and soap making as a moisturizing, softening, nourishing component:

• in moisturizers for dry, flaky, damaged skin;
• in sunscreens and winter cosmetics;
• in medical cosmetics for skin itching, eczema, dermatitis;
• in children's cosmetics for sensitive and allergic skin;
• in shampoos, balms, masks for dry, brittle and damaged hair;
• as a natural thickener in creams and balms;
• in soap making to create a conditioning effect, as well as to create a soft and fluffy foam;
• in massage candles.
