Production method: Oil is obtained in the process of technological processing of cocoa beans. To do this, the seeds of the chocolate tree are first soaked and then dried and roasted. After removing the hard shells, the beans are crushed and passed through a hot press. The oil, which has not yet cooled down, is filtered and poured into containers, where it thickens.

Composition: oil contains oleic (29-38%), stearic (24-37%), palmitic (24-30%), linolenic (up to 4%), myristic (up to 4%) and other acids, polyphenols, vitamin E etc.

Characteristics: has a fairly firm texture, delicate yellow tint

Properties and application in cosmetics:

The main feature of cocoa butter is its high content of antioxidants and unsurpassed properties to increase skin elasticity.

Cocoa butter is used for dry skin due to its ability to repair damaged cells. Promotes the disappearance of small cosmetic defects (small scars, wrinkles, crow's feet, the effects of acne, furunculosis, etc.), maintains turgor and restores the hydro-lipid balance of the skin. With regular use, cocoa butter prevents the appearance of wrinkles.

It is recommended to use cocoa butter during pregnancy and after childbirth to make the skin more elastic, thereby preventing the appearance of stretch marks. It has a healing and tonic effect due to the presence of methylxanthine, caffeine, tannins in the composition. Protects the skin from damage in winter (chapping and frostbite), tightens the skin of the whole body and gives it an elastic healthy look.

Soap, which includes chocolate tree seed oil, has a noticeable regenerating effect. As a result of regular use, burn marks, scars and roughness are leveled and healed, stretch marks and dark spots are eliminated. At the same time, the cosmetic product can be used even with increased skin sensitivity and for child care.

The oil is used in various types of cosmetic products and soap making as a moisturizing, softening, regenerating, and antioxidant component:

  • in softening and moisturizing products for skin care of the neck, décolleté and hands
  • in creams for the care of sensitive skin around the eyes
  • in anti-age cosmetics, to improve skin elasticity and firmness
  •  in lip balms and lipsticks
