Lavender Honey
We have a small apiary on our lavender farm. The hardworking bees work hard, giving us the opportunity to enjoy the bounty of nature.
Our Lavender Honey is a fragrant treat that warms in winter and invigorates in summer.
Real lavender honey does not smell like lavender flowers
and is not blue. It is moderately sweet, with a rich aroma and a soft
aftertaste, sometimes with a sourness. This unusual type of honey is valued not
only for its taste, but also for its invaluable health benefits.
It has a calming, softening, antiseptic and antispasmodic effect on the
human body. It has a beneficial effect on the brain and is used to treat and
prevent diseases of the nervous system, such as depression, stress, attention
deficit syndrome and chronic fatigue. A small amount of honey with warm tea at
night will help get rid of insomnia.
Our lavender field is surrounded by a forest, which means that bees also
collect nectar from other honey plants and trees. In addition to lavender, we
sow a variety of honey crops every year, such as Safflower and Phacelia.
Phacelia flowers are very popular with bees. Bees are attracted by the
bright and fragrant phacelia flowers, which promotes insect activity and
increases honey production.
Honey is enriched with nutrients. It contains fructose and sucrose,
water-soluble vitamins, amino acids, antioxidants, protein compounds and
enzymes. Phacelia honey is not inferior to the famous linden honey and is a
valuable product with nutritional and medicinal properties.
Safflower is a generous source of pollen, highly resistant to heat and
drought, but usually secretes nectar for no more than 5-10 days.
